Privacy policy

Bulk Product Editor ("the app") helps Shopify merchants edit their products in bulk. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used.

What the app collects

When a merchant installs the app, it reads the store's name, email, currency and time zone, and the store's product catalog (titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, tags, metafields, collections, image alt text and similar product data). It keeps a copy of the product data to show previews, filter products, keep backups and undo edits, and it keeps a history of the edits the merchant makes.

The app does not collect or store customer or order data.

How the data is used

Product data is used only to provide the app's features to the merchant who installed it. When the merchant uses the AI writer, the details of the products being written (such as title, description, options and tags) are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) through its API to generate text; data sent through the API is not used to train AI models.

Sharing

We don't sell or share store data with anyone, except the service providers needed to run the app (hosting, database and the AI provider), who process it only on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

Backups of products and the history of edits are kept for at most 90 days, then deleted automatically.

When the app is uninstalled, its access to the store ends at once. Shopify then asks us to delete the store's data, and everything the app stored about the store (product copies, backups and edit history) is deleted 48 hours later.

Security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest. All traffic uses HTTPS. Only the merchant's own store can see its data.
